    Qualifications: Biology and Psych Degree from UT

    Pets:
    Caiden - 7 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback.
    Sprocket - 3 year old Terrier mix from TLAC.
    Mr Bease & Bentley – 10 year old domestic long hair cats.
    Guiness (aka PANTS!) – 5 year old domestic short hair cat adopted from LABAH.

    "I started at LABAH part time in college and have been here ever since. I love LABAH because we treat animals like family and the staff acts like family.

    I graduated from UT in 2002 with a double major in Psych and Biology."

    Qualifications: Love animals (dogs/cats) more than life.

    Pets:
    2 dogs: Juniper – Beagle Mix, about 12 years old. She’s my best friend. I adopted her from LABAH, and she’ll be mine forever. Phoenix, about 3 years old. Was rescued as a cruelty case. I fell in love with him as he was being treated at LABAH.

    1 cat – Mr. Moo (the kitty cow). I found him as a sick kitten the day before I moved to Austin. He's been here with me since 2004.

    "I also help care for various animals around Austin, including the Deep Eddy feral cats, for the last several years.

    I’ve lived in Austin for 7 years, moving here from San Angelo, TX. I enjoy eating really good food, music, nature, art, dancing, animals, friends and good stuff in general. I am going to school to become a nurse someday (if I can leave LABAH!)"
  • Caleb Caleb
    Receptionist
     At LABAH Since: Birth

    Caleb is Dr. Spitz's son and has been at LABAH longer than almost anyone. A doorframe in the front desk area attests to that fact, acting as a growth chart since he was a 3’ toddler.

    He has been helping out at the clinic for years in various ways and of late is to be found a lot at the front desk during holidays and after school assisting clients, scheduling appointments etc. He likes the variety of animals that come to the clinic – shapes, sizes ,breeds – and with a lifetime of clinic experience certainly knows his stuff.

    When not at the clinic Caleb likes playing card games and basketball. His pets include numerous dogs, cats, horses, birds and goldfish.
